How DSOs Work

The concept behind dental support organizations (DSOs) is well established among many medical professions – including emergency departments, oncologists, pediatricians and a multitude of other specialties. When medical providers are free to focus exclusively on patient care, as DSOs and other management services allow them to do, the benefits to patients are profound.

DSO-supported dentists maintain ownership of their practices and are responsible for all patient care decisions and activities. The DSO provides business management expertise and operational support to ensure efficient, cost-effective operations.
